As an illustrator I've used many air brushes. Setting up the compressor, the moisture trap for the compressor and working with the noise of the compressor motor isn't always fun or relaxing. This little air brush kit uses compressed air from a can so you can work in a whisper quiet environment. Set up and clean up is super easy. The effects are great! Depending on the needle and tip you use you can get really detailed accuracy. Very little overspray and no sputter or moisture issues from a mechanical compressor. It's ideal for small scale applications. What's the coolest is the whole assembly is portable. It's not easy to move a compressor that needs power. But because it's an aerosol can you can take this outside to do murals, vehicles, planters... there's no limit to your imagination. Love this air brush!!
I tried it on my garage doors with an excellent results. It is very easy to use and clean and most importantly no efforts at all.
You never realize how much you need something like this, until you start looking. Take a look around your home and look at all the chips, scratches, worn paint, etc. Look at all the paint flaws. Now, you can make your house as close to perfect, without the hassle of toting a compressor around. The airbrush kit works great! I simply used a piece of cardboard to block areas where I didn't want the spray to hit. I filled the unit with paint, hooked up the pressurized air can and off to work I went. I did have to fill in the damaged areas, which I did with 5 minute mud. I did a light sand and tried to keep the texture in the non damaged areas (by wiping the excess mud off with a damp sponge). I first hit the area with Kilz to prime the surface. Then I hit it with paint - super easy to do and it looks great. I went though each room, cleaning up paint errors from the past and fixing damaged spots. So much better than a paint brush, keeps the texture, no streaks, blends well and easy to use. I'm also impressed how long the cans of air last. I highly recommend this airbrush kit!
