Why Are the Sprayer and vFan Vented?

The vented cap is designed to allow small amounts of air into the product jar. When the Sprayer and vFan pull paint up the dip tube, and the pressure inside the jar reaches a certain point, air flow through the product jar relieves some of the pressure.
